Project Brief
KFIS (KwikFit Insurance Services) was formed as a result of customer demand. KFIS was was launched in 1995 and has grown to become one of the UK's leading motor insurance distributors. Since its inception in 1995, Kwik-Fit Insurance services has grown and developed into one of Scotland's most dynamic and award winning call centres.
MTC Media were initially engaged to deliver bespoke programming services to KFIS for a number systems within the KFIS web site / intranet. Since then relationship has prospered with MTC Media being briefed to deliver the “buy online” solution for the KFIS web site. The objective was to allow customers not only get an insurance quote online, but to provide a secure payment solution allowing policies to be paid for using customer credit / debit cards.
Implementation
MTC Media produced pages that integrated with the existing KFIS quote pages to allow customers to pay for their car insurance online, either as a one off payment (by credit card) or by a combination of a deposit and monthly payment (credit card/direct debit).
Payment details had to be encrypted and securely passed to the call center for processing by their internal system.
Results
KFIS witnessed a large number of payments being taken through the system almost as soon as it went live, increasing conversions and greatly reducing paperwork overhead and staff time.
The buy online solution delivered by MTC Media is now a key feature of the KFIS business as a whole and is a key part of the KFIS web site Kwik Fit Car Insurance .
